Film lamination is a highly effective process and offers many benefits including the fact that it creates a wipe clean finish and protects the substrate from moisture. People from a variety of sectors utilise the process to protect many different materials. For the best finish though it is essential that the film is in the best condition before it is used.
When it comes to preserving your films, all of them, no matter the material and type, should really be stored in a dry, cool place where they are away direct sunlight. The film should also remain in the packaging it came in during this time. Normally, the summer months call for some additional storage considerations to be made to ensure they are not damaged before you can use them.
The greater humidity levels at the time will demand that partial rolls be re-bagged in order to minimise the humidity’s effects on them. Chemical exposure is also something to think about. Some films have more resistance than others do but to stay safe, it’s recommended that all film be kept a safe distance from chemicals.
In stock we have quite the collection of ultra matt and gloss laminating and encapsulation films. A total of three core sizes are on offer; 25m, 76mm and 57mm diameters. Each one is able to fit all types of main brand machine, meaning there’s no need to worry about incompatibility with our products.
